Shopping trip - Prangin Mall

I just came back from Prangin Mall. Just parted with ML & Siang Siang about 2 hours ago.

My feet are sore, my stomach bloated, but I am damn satisfied.

I finally bought the dress for the Gala Dinner during MyLDS. It's well worth the price (hundreds thanks and kisses to Siang Siang for the unbelievable bargaining! She manage to get almost RM20 cheaper for me!! xoxo), and it looks good on me. Dress? Nah~ you'll get to see it during the Gala Dinner =p

Oh, and the shoes...nice blinking shoes to match the dress. And me & ML actually bought the same shoes, just different colour. XD

OK, enough talking. It's photo time. As for why my stomach is bloated, photos and captions are coming!

Lunch time! Serena-recommended gourmet cafe is chosen.

For starter, "J.L. special" Mushroom soups (for me & ML) and Cream of Tomato (for SS).

Emmph~ yummy yummy creamy mushy soupy~

The “After” of our soups. XD

Then came the main course. Spaghetti Marinara for me & SS. *drool*

The drinks: Orange juices & Peach Tea. I’m with the odd.

A long-waited delight! When SS is about to finish her spaghetti, ML’s Triple Decker Sandwich is here!

Sandwich up close: A true Triple Deck!

The eaters and the eats in the eatery.

It was a huge portion, luckily I’m VERY hungry.

The dessert: a single scoop of random flavour ice-cream. I got Yam!

That much for lunch.

This is the time you appreciate the absent of males so no image needed to be maintained. Just EAT~~ munch munch munch munch munch.

And for all we had, it only cost us RM17.90 each. The meal set includes an appetizer soup, a main course, a drink, and a dessert.

The price? Worth it. The taste? Damn well worth it!!

So, we eat, we shop, we shop, and we shop some more, until we eat again at dinner time.

For dinner, it's 刷刷乐. (ergh, I can't put the "3 waters" mark in front of the "刷")

Steamboat with Tong-yam base soup. Set B 2 pax + 1.

The ingredient (part 1)

The ingredient (part 2)

The ingredient (part 3)

It's good. The Tong-yam is spicy. Drinks are ordered separately. We had warm + iced water, & a Chinese tea served cold. The bill came out as RM41.25.

P/S: more food photos available on Facebook. If you like to just stare & drool....

*burb~* My stomach is remembering all the nice food it ate just now. XD

Well, I'll say it's a well-spent 8 hours in Pragin Mall. (>.o)/ But..ouch...my feet hurt from all the walking.

~Into the Valley of Thorns~

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Sugar is diabetic,
And so are you.

*ROFL* I am so sorry. Please don't say "What the - ".

I just can't help but relate this to the current world. It's a fact, yes? Eat more sugar and you will most likely be diagnosed with Diabetes Type I or II. The original words are 'Sugar is sweet'. But I found many versions of this poem like "Onion stinks and so do you". *laughs*

My siblings and I love this version:

Orange is orange,
Flower is sweet,
I R Baboon say,
You got smelly feet.

Adapted from the Cartoon,

I Am Weasel!

*Sigh*
I miss the olden days. Yes, we watch all sorts of cartoons. My little Brother's favourite channel at that time was Cartoon Network.

O-K~ Too far. Back to the main topic. In this post, I will be bringing you all the way back to Cameron Highlands to the Rose Valley. I can't help but post pictures of colourful flowers! They are the most beautiful thing one can admire in his/her own backyard.

Check out the photos below:

~Light Red Roses~

~Three-Quarter-Open Hibiscus~

~Beautiful Waterfall~

~Little Bro asked to take this, O_o~

~Look at those Gourds hanging above~

~These Gourds are humongous!~

I wonder which is worst? A huge gourd or a spiky durian falling on your head? Well, I think that both are equally bad since both will still bring you to heaven anyway. It's either with a cracked skull or a punctured brain. O_o

~Horse and Mom~

~Not too sure what flower is this~

~Roses can be yellow too~

~Flower Frenzy~

~They wired these up so that we won't be able to pick them, T_T~

~White Roses~

~Dark Yellow Rose~

~Old Hag Cactuses ~

Yes, they are very old. One is 41 years old while the other is 40 years old. O_o

~Beach and New Family Pets~

That's right. We have new pets that requires A LOT of attention compared to Little One, the hamster and Whisky, the dog.
Big Bro is the one taking care of them at home. Feeding, cleaning and checking on them, these are all rather tedious work. Just by trying to keep them alive is hard enough that it can crack two brains in one go.

SO~ Who are these new pets that I am talking about? Well, we will come to that later. :)

First, it's play time! Check out the photos below:

~The Beach!~

We get to visit~ The Beach! This beach is really secluded and hard to find. So, no one really comes to this secret beach except those who stays nearby. Dad brought us here to play and help out as well. It's really clean and free from pollution. No plastic bags or any other human trash on this beach. Sweet~

~That's our car~

~Big Bro looking for tiny crabs~

Yes, even though we are all so old right now, we still play like little kids. After all, we were brought up like Kampung Kids. *proud*

Those tiny crabs are fast and swift because they hardly see humans walking around their territory. Thus, they were more alert to danger than usual. So, no matter how hard we chase them, we still can't outrun them. We even tried digging them up or drowning them. It didn't work. *Sigh*

The weather was great and the sea water was cooling! We found a few hermit crabs at the sandy bottom.
After all the heavy exercises, back home we go. :D

Next, Big Bro attends to his pets! Ta Daa~~

~Mud Crab~

~Hungry little crustaceans~

~Give it to me, or else!~

Big Bro has suffered their pincers many a times. Sometimes, he chopstick-wrestled with them over uneaten food or poke them just to check on their activeness. :)

~Changing shell~

This is the first time I witness a crab changing its shell. The left one is alive, the right one is the old shell. I didn't know which was what till I saw the left one moves its mouth. At this time of their lives, they are most vulnerable to predators. So, usually they hide underground away from enemies. Chinese people loves eating them at this time while they are still soft. Heard of soft-shelled crab? Well, this is the one!

So, while we were busy checking on the crabs, some one else decides that he wants to be busy as well. Guess who~

~Giving you the 'I-am-busy-as-well' face~

~Pretending to be busy~

Yes, we know Whisky darling. He pretends to be busy looking for things but in actual fact, he just wants to be nearby to see what we were doing at that time. Love my dog so much! :)
So, what is the other cute one doing?

~Little One taking a nap~

~ZZzzzz~

I just love this little hamster. She throws a tantrum sometimes, but we all love her very much, especially my parents. :)
PS: I think this is the only hamster that takes a water bath every weekend.

~Her favourite position on your hand~

She lies on her back so that you can tickle and brush her belly. The only hamster that allows you to do that i think. Others would have chomped on your fingers if you dared lay a finger on them at all. My housemate's hamster chewed my fingernails away when i put my finger through the bar of their cage. *shock*

Anyways, The End.

~Korean Cuisine~

Once upon a time, three hungry wolfs decided to try out something new. So, after much barking and growling at each other, the Alpha Male decided to eat Korean Cuisine. The other two agreed.

And so, off we went to Daorae, Korean BBQ Restaurant located at Bayan Point. You can easily spot their signboard as you are driving along the huge roundabout. The atmosphere in the restaurant is superb and I love their interior design as well. Our host (waiter) for the day is really kind and helpful. Since it was our first time eating in a Korean Restaurant, they showed us how to cook and dine on their dishes. Thank you~

Check out the photos below:

~Fume Exterminator, for BBQ~

~Counter~

So, who were the three bad wolfs? Undoubtedly, one of them would be me. :)
Let me introduce Alpha Male. Ta Daa~~

~Rain, the Drebar of the Day~

This handsome guy is a fan of Korean Musics. Not too sure about Dramas. But the astounding piece of news is, he's up for grabs. That's right. Single and available. And yes, he comes from an affluent family. As for his personality... well... it's... uhhh... *silence*

For further info, please ask his secretary below~ (>.<)

~My Roomie, WH aka Fuyu~

Yes, she is his secretary. Don't hesitate to ask her on any questions pertaining to the Alpha Male above. By the way, she's also single and available. (I am soo going to be dead~! XD)

Back to the highlight of the day:

~Complementary Dishes~

~Closer View~

~A mixture of taste: hot, sour, delicious, normal, plain~

~Main dish, name unknown~

~Our Host for the Day~

Sorry Mr. Host, you were too swift for my shaking hands to capture you in action. :(

~Pancakes with sauce~

~It's cooked!~

~Steamed Eggs~

~Korean Rojak~

And yes, we cleared up every single dishes on the table. They are so delicious. :) Due to the sourness of some of the dishes, they boosted our appetite a lot. Even the free bottle of tea that they provided to us were drunk up at the end of the meal.

~Tea~

If ever you want to try out something new and different, do dine in at Daorae Korean BBQ Restaurant!
The End.

~Penang Trip~

Next stop, Penang. Highlight of the trip is our breakfast meal.

How should I say this, different states has different culture? Well, for my family who originated from Kuantan, we usually eat breakfast around 8.30am. But for Penangites, shops only start to open around 11am. Not kidding.
SO~ When Dad said he wanted breakfast the second day in Penang, we were up and away by 8.30am. I forgot to tell him about the time thingy, so we wandered around wondering what to eat. Big Sis spotted a banner about Dim Sum at Gurney, and after much thought, we decided to head there and have our breakfast.

The first shock they had was, is Gurney Plaza open? Apparently, no one was there. Rather deserted. As we walked up to the entrance, janitors were only starting to clean the hall. We ask the security guard standing nearby and thank goodness, yes, the restaurant is open. Barely.
Next shock
, we were the first customer of the day. In Kuantan, by 9am, you will have to fight for a seat to get your breakfast meal.
Last shock, we ordered a meal fit for a herd of elephants. Check out the photos below:

~Ko Fu Loft, Dim Sum Restaurant~

~Interior Design~

~Order List~

~Chinese Tea, a must-drink in any chinese restaurant~

~Not too sure which is what~

~ Shark Fin Dumpling~

~Both are BBQ Pork Buns~

Another two sets of Mushroom Bun came at the end but I forgot to take a photo of that. So there were a total of 12 buns on the table. *shock*

~Dim Sums~

~More Dim Sums~

~What was this again?~

~Lor Mai Kai and more Dim Sum~

~I think this is Soya Pork Ribs~

~Crab Claw Dim Sum~

Some are ordered more than once so the photos above are not the exact total number of Dim Sums that we ate that day. In short, we ate like we were starved for a year.

Skipped lunch after that. The End.

~Cameron Trip~

These photos are taken during the middle of my Raya Holidays. Our main focus was to go up into the highland of Cameron for a three day rest in the cold mountain (highland!) air and then head to Penang to send me back to University. I don't like the last part of the trip but no choice. I still have classes even if I don't like it.
Back to our trip. We have been to Cameron Highlands several times before but it just never gets boring to be up there in the mist of the mountains (highland~!). Surprisingly, it was still cold (18 degrees in the morning!) and yes, strawberries are still growing up there. As well as water crest, cabbages, sunflowers and you know the rest. If not, take a trip up to Cameron Highlands. You won't regret it. :)

The spotlight of our three-day-trip up in Cameron is our visit to the 'Boh' Tea Centre located in Sungei Palas. Even though it is rather embarassing to say this, this is our first time heading up there to take a look at the Tea factory. Mom is a huge fan of Boh Tea products and so are the rest of us. What Mom eats, we do too. :D

~Tea Plants~

This is taken as Dad was driving his Pajero all the way up to the Tea factory. The road is EXTREMELY small and can only fit a single car. And what with the winding road, you can't possibly see if there is an oncoming car from the opposite direction. So road courtesy is a must at this point. Or down the ravine you go. There are certain points on the road that is wide enough to fit two cars so this is the part where you test your patience and manners and let the other car pass by first before you go on. So, up we went. The scenery is great. Nothing but tea plants.

~Parking lot at the base of the factory~

Apparently, you can't drive all the way up to the factory. You have to park at the visitor parking area and climb your way up there. Not very convenient for the senior citizens but Mom and Dad exercise a lot so, no problem for my super parents to climb up to the factory.

~Dad and Mom, my super parents~

Mom wasn't too happy because she was not wearing her sport shoes. Her shoes could not grip the ground well and nearly fell once. No fear, Dad is here. Or was there.

~ More tea plants~

Dad and Mom explained to us that the leaves in the tea bag that you put into your tea cups are these young, yellow leaves. Apparently, they don't use the old green ones. New knowledge. I drink tea almost everyday and I didn't know about that. So what happens to the old ones? They are left to grow new ones. Obviously~ >.<

~The view as we climb up the hill~

What caught our attention the most was this funny looking building jutting out from the hill cliff. An interesting piece of art. We found out later that it is a restaurant for visitors to take a break and drink what they serve best, tea. The part where it juts out gives you a very nice view over the valley of the tea plantation. Sweet~

~Little Brother, ever the impatient one~

He has already left his foot marks in the building before we even step into it. That's my beloved little brother alright. :)

~My sweet family~

I'm no good in posing, so I am not posting up the one where I was in the picture. :)

~The hallway to the Tea store and Factory~

~Tea Factory~

~The restaurant where you can take a break~

~ Laici with Rose Fragrance, Boh Tea~

We haven't seen this kind of Tea products before in the market. But I think you can only buy this kind of fragrance from the Tea Store in this centre. The tea smells like Rose and tastes like Laici. I don't know how Rose smells like but it sure is different from the normal Boh Tea you usually drink. Elder sister's cup of tea!

~ Mango flavoured Boh Tea~

Little brother's cup of tea. He loves Mango the most!

~Green Tea, Boh Tea~

Dad, Mom and I ordered this one. Loved it!

~Our Tea Break~

After all that, we headed back down to civilization with the car loaded full with Tea products from the factory. It is advisable to visit the Tea store as you will find a lot of interesting flavour and fragrance not purchasable elsewhere except at the centre.

~Two mansions near the Tea Plantation~

Last but not least, these two mansions caught my attention because I would have love to stay in that kind of place. Cold, tranquil, and away from pollution and population. Staring at Tea plants is better than staring at highways full of cars.
The End.

~KL - Ipoh Yong Tow Foo~

This restaurant is located near the giant round-about in Jalan Duta, near Hentian Duta. It has been awhile since my family went there to have our lunch. So, Dad decided to take us there when I arrived in KL Hentian Duta for my Raya break. Yes, this is a rather old story as well. Bear with me as I do not really have the time to update this. I still have photos about my holiday to Cameron and Penang to post up on this blog. >.<
Anyways, the restaurant is called Ipoh Road Yong Tow Foo which I have no idea why it is named so. Perhaps the recipe originated from Ipoh, yes? Either way, one word describes it all. Superb. It is well known in the vicinity as the place is usually packed full with customers during lunch hour and weekends. We were lucky because when we arrived, there were places to sit. Sweet~
Order time! When Dad is around, expect a whole load of food on the table as though we were some sort of barbarian that has just discovered city life. But that just goes to show how much my Dad loves us all and the reason why we are skinny is not due to underfeeding by my parents. We eat like elephants but we don't grow fat. Jealous aren't you... >:D

~Our order form for 4 people~

~I forgot what is this called but my Dad said it is made out of crushed tortoise shell~
Not eating it the next time regardless of what reason it may be.

~Paper Wrap Chicken~
These are used to make Big (Tai) Pau.

~Main Dish, Gravy Type~

~Soup Type~

~ Fried "Sui Kau"and "Foo Chok"~

We had side dishes later but I was too hungry to take photos of them. One was a plate with sour Tau Foo in it while the other was none other than our favourite Fruit Rojak. Tasty!
That's all for now. Hopefully, the next post would be something more interesting than this. :)
Till then, cheerios~
